‘Mystery’ flight headed for OR Tambo International Airport ‘off the radar’

A plane has reportedly landed at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg from Hong Kong, but was ‘off the radar’ for the duration of its flight.

Duncan Gillespie, admin and owner of the popular FlyAfrica Facebook page took to the platform on Friday morning to write:

‘There’s a B747 Freighter in full cloak mode inbound Joburg.

‘She’s really heavy; departed Hong Kong, did a quick fuel stop in Colombo & is headed our way, to land around 08:00.

‘The crew are specifically and intentionally masking all details from the ADS-C data; call-sign, registration, point of departure & destination. Why would you do that?’
