Kaizer Chiefs FC have taken an important decision on the future of their captain Yusuf Maart.
It’s been a difficult season for the Glamour Boys, who have once again struggled to keep up with rivals Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates in the Betway Premiership.
And Maart, being the club’s captain and face of the team has often been the subject of much criticism.
The midfielder has made a total of 28 appearances under coach Nasreddine Nabi, scoring two goals while assisting three more.

Yusuf Maart joined the Glamour Boys from Sekhukhune United in 2022 and is now worth approximately R21 million according to Transfermarkt.
The former Orlando Pirates academy graduate has made over 90 appearances for the club thus far. He has scored six goals while assisting eight more.
And now, reports suggest he’ll be given the chance to add on to those numbers!
Maart has signed a contract extension at Naturena, as per IDiski Times.
Maart was wanted by his former side Sekhukhune United, prompting Chiefs to swiftly get their captain to extend his contract at the club.
